Committee Descriptions


Affiliate Committee     Affiliate members share the common goal of creating and maintaining long-term, successful business partnerships.  They develop ways to promote Affiliate business, including the planning of the annual Affiliate Event, and to  work closely with the REALTOR® members at various functions to reach this goal.  This committee is open to all Affiliate members.  This committee usually meets monthly and as determined by the committee chair or Board president.

 

Education Committee     Evaluates, plans, and promotes quality educational courses that the Board can provide to meet the needs of members, including continuing education courses for license renewal.  This committee meets as determined by the committee chair or Board president.

 

Government Affairs Committee     A forum of members to actively monitor and discuss county and local legislative issues that impact the real estate industry in Jefferson County and Ste. Genevieve County areas.  This committee meets as determined by the committee chair or Board president. 

 

Membership Committee     Works to evaluate membership benefits and value propositions for JCBR members, to work in the recruitment of new members, and to attend various member events to promote membership in JCBR.  This committee meets as determined by the committee chair or Board president.

 

Program/Ways & Means Committee     Plans entertaining and informative membership meetings and events to generate non-dues funding for designated charities and JCBR.  This committee usually meets monthly and as determined by the committee chair or Board president.

 

RPAC Committee     Works to secure contributions to supply necessary funds to support the REALTOR Political Action Committee (RPAC) and promote and protect the real estate industry in legislature and congress.  This committee meets as determined by the committee chair or Board president.

 

Strategic Planning/Finance Committee     Goal is to maintain a fiscally sound operation and establish long-range objectives for JCBR.  This committee prepares a proposed annual budget.  This committee generally meets quarterly and as determined by the committee chair or Board president.

 

For REALTOR® Members Only:

 

Grievance Committee     Reviews ethics complaints and petitions to arbitrate and determines whether or not either should be forwarded to a Professional Standards hearing.  Committee members must attend Professional Standards training.  This committee meets as needed.

 

Professional Standards Committee     Committee members act as hearing panelists at ethics or arbitration hearings and facilitate the Professional Standards process.  Committee members must attend Professional Standards training.  This committee serves as needed.
